Privacy Policy
Effective October 18, 2026
In short: The Upweight app does not collect, store or sell your personal data. Your training data stays on your iPhone: no accounts and no analytics. The only thing we store is what you choose to send through the beta sign-up form on this website.
Data that stays on your device
Everything you enter — workouts, routines, body weight, profile details (age, sex, height, goals), injury notes, health-screening answers and settings — is stored only on your iPhone, in the app's private storage. It is included in your device's normal iCloud or computer backups if you have those turned on, under Apple's control. We cannot see it.
Backups you create
If you export a backup file, it is saved wherever you choose in the Files app and stays under your control. It contains your workouts, routines, custom exercises, profile details (age, sex, height, goals), injury notes, settings and body weights you entered yourself. It leaves out your health-screening answers and any body weights read from Apple Health. Upweight also keeps up to 10 automatic copies on your iPhone, with the same contents, so you can undo a mistake.
Ask about your training (Apple Intelligence)
On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, you can ask questions about your own log. Answers are worked out on your iPhone by Apple’s on-device model, using look-ups of your log that run on the device. Your questions and your data are not sent to us or to any server.
Apple Health
Apple Health access is optional and off by default. If you turn it on, Upweight can save your finished workouts, an estimated active-energy figure and body weight to Apple Health, and read your latest body weight when you ask it to. Health data is never sent to us or anyone else, never used for advertising or marketing, and never sold. You can change access any time in the Health app → Sharing → Apps → Upweight.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple. We receive no payment details. Apple tells the app only which plan your Apple ID owns, so Pro features can unlock. See Apple's privacy policy.
Free trial date
To make the 30-day free trial work once per person, the date it started is kept in your iPhone’s secure storage (the Keychain). It contains nothing else, never leaves your device, and can remain after the app is deleted.
Notifications
Workout reminders and rest-timer alerts are scheduled locally on your iPhone. No notification content leaves the device.
Beta sign-up on this website
If you join the beta using the form on upweight.app, we store what you enter: your email address, your iPhone model, and your answers about how often you lift, what you use today and any note you add, plus the date. This is the only personal data we collect, and only because you sent it. It is stored in our Cloudflare account (Cloudflare hosts this website) and used only to send you a TestFlight invite and occasional beta updates. We never sell or share it. We delete it after the beta ends, or sooner if you ask at support@upweight.app.
Tracking and third parties
Upweight contains no advertising, no analytics or tracking tools, and no third-party SDKs that collect data. We do not track you across apps or websites.
Children
Upweight is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Deleting your data
Profile → Backup & data → Delete all my data erases everything on the device. Deleting the app also removes its data, except the free-trial start date described above. Copies you saved to Apple Health stay there until you delete them in the Health app.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
